The 15-Minute Workout for Busy Moms (Because Who Has Time for More?)
You know how you eye that inspirational tee each morning and think, “Today’s the day I’ll work out” … just before picking up that 11 oz coffee mug instead? Well, guess what? Here’s a 15-minute workout that’s doable and fun (hopefully?), even on days when your coffee needs a coffee.
Why Bother Exercising, Anyway? (Yup, We’re Going There) Besides the health benefits (we know, we know!), there’s something empowering about wearing a muscle tank while doing something that’s … well, a little less painful than tripping over toys. And let’s face it. Fifteen minutes is just enough exercise to feel good without turning into a red-faced, panting mess like after those intense 7-minute workouts.
The Workout: Let’s Get Moving (Sort Of) This routine is as fuss-free as it gets—no equipment, just you in your favorite muscle shirt tank top, and maybe a curious toddler for added resistance.
Warm-Up (2 minutes): Stretch out those muscles. Jog in place and throw in some dynamic stretches. Maybe pretend you’re reaching for that last strewn toy on the ground … or cookie up that cupboard—we won’t tell.
Main Workout (11 minutes): Here we go—squat, push-ups, lunges, planks, mountain climbers, and triceps dips. Forty seconds of pretending we know what we’re doing, fifteen seconds of blissful rest. Repeat. Please. Don’t stop now.
Cool Down (2 minutes): Stretch again and bask in the glory of having exercised today. You’re basically a superhero now.
